Dial an 'Album of the Month Club', and tap a button, and the digital stream of music then would be sent bit by bit to a recording device. No stores, no salespeople, no shopping-- no records. Play back your copy, and the quality of the reproduction is equal to that of the original master at the other end of the phone call."
Hmmm. What an alternate universe that would have made, had that caught on.
